BAIL-OUT Bedroom For Spouses
A survey revealed that about 25% of spouses sleep separately. And, there has been an increase in “dual master bedrooms” homes featuring separate sleep area for each spouse. A National Association of Home Builders survey predicts that by 2015 more than 60 percent of custom-built homes will have two master bedrooms.
Is this a trend the apartment industry needs to watch? Perhaps dual master suites aren’t just aimed towards college students any more. It’s also a neat way to sell two-bedroom apartments to couples if you don’t have any one-bedrooms available.
"Use this second bedroom as a bail-out place to sleep in case one of you is sick, can't sleep, snores, etc."
(Washington Post, New York Times)
