MANAGERS WITH POOR PHONE PRESENCE
Q. Hey, I have a question. I need training for a few Managers with... not so much bad phone technique
as bad phone presence. Mumbling and not properly articulating is a problem... especially for some Managers with English as a second language. What do you suggest?

A. Buy mini-recorders and have your team members
record their side of the conversations. Have them play back what they sounded like. Most will be shocked. What is also important would be for you to record a similar “script” so they can hear how it “should” sound like. Comparing and contrasting is an extremely effective training tool.

If the training is in person, host role–playing scenarios and record them with a Flip Video camera (it has a USB port so you can just plug it into your laptop and play the video right then and there).
